Will you move in 2022?

Company news :   10 - 01 - 22

While demand for Farnham property continues to outweigh available stock, our sales team at Andrew Lodge Estate Agents are beginning to see more properties coming to market.

As we move towards the spring we expect our portfolio to grow and you will have a wider selection of properties to choose from.

With many home-hunters planning to move to Farnham or the surrounding villages, what can we expect from the 2022 housing market?

Our sales team enjoyed a positive start to the year and they have already carried out market appraisals which are resulting in some beautiful properties coming to the market.

The Halifax House Price Index recently revealed that property prices rose by 9.8 percent in 2021. Experts forecast that house prices will continue to rise, but not at the rate we experienced last year.

Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, remarked: “The housing market starts 2022 in a very strong position. Valuation requests from home-owners are a fifth higher than the year before, mortgage approvals are the highest they’ve been for years, and the pandemic appears to be on the wane.

“Further interest rate rises are likely this year, but while demand outstrips housing, we expect that prices will continue to rise this year, albeit at a much slower pace than we saw in 2021.”
