Supporting Our Community

Community news :   16 - 06 - 20

Incredible work has been undertaken to ensure the most vulnerable in our local community are cared for throughout Covid-19.

The Farnham Institute Charity, chaired by Andrew Lodge, recently provided a grant of £2,500 to help launch the Farnham Coronavirus Support Fund.

It was created as a collaboration between Farnham Town Council, Farnham Maltings, The Farnham Institute Charity, and other local organisations.

The fund aims to provide financial support or assistance to individuals and families in Farnham who find themselves in exceptional circumstances due to the pressures caused by lockdown, social distancing, and coronavirus.

Residents who require urgent assistance with essentials can apply for up to £300. Help is available for issues such as paying for electric or gas, providing food, replacing an appliance and more.

Andrew Lodge commented: “The Trustees of the Farnham Institute Charity are delighted to support the Farnham Coronavirus Support Fund. We are so grateful to all the wonderful volunteers who are working hard to ensure everybody in Farnham has the help they need during this difficult time.”
