Looking back on the property awards season 2023

Much like Hollywood in the spring, the property industry looks forward to autumn with anticipation as prestigious awards ceremonies such as the ESTAS, EA Masters and The Negotiator awards make their annual return.

Kicking off in spectacular fashion on Friday, October 20th, the ESTAS welcomed estate and letting agents from across the UK to The Grosvenor on Park Lane, in London. The Guild of Property Professionals achieved an extraordinary three-peat victory, clinching the ESTAS award for Best Agency Network for the third consecutive year. This remarkable achievement was based on the collective ratings garnered by participating Guild agents from homeowners across the United Kingdom, utilising the esteemed ESTAS review platform. The Guild’s network amassed a staggering 13,000 ESTAS reviews, boasting an impressive average customer service rating of 96.6%, a testament to the network’s steadfast commitment to excellence. At the event, Guild Members garnered a total of 137 ESTAS accolades, including gold, silver, and bronze awards, as well as numerous regional and Best in Postcode honours. The coveted title of Guild Agent of the Year 2023 was awarded to C residential. See the full list of winners here.

Still on a high from the ESTAS 20th anniversary event, the 2023 EA Masters followed next on 7th November at Evolution London, Battersea Park, where the best of the UK’s estate agents met face-to-face with innovative suppliers exhibiting goods and services.

The event saw more than 1,000 delegates in attendance to enjoy the announcement of the esteemed Best Estate Agent Guide awards, as well as the People Awards, Innovation Awards and Supplier Awards, shining a spotlight on businesses and individuals from across the sector. Awards were presented by television presenter co-hosts Rachel Riley and Dermot Murnaghan. The award for Best Lettings Small (2-5 Branches) was picked up by Davies & Davies, Proud Guild Member for Trowbridge, while many other Members walked away with accolades commending them for their customer service, promoting themselves in the Best Estate Agent Guide 2024.

To round off 2023 with a bang, The Negotiator Conference and Awards saw Iain McKenzie, Chief Executive Officer at The Guild of Property Professionals, not only present an insightful panellist discussion on some of the UK’s housing issues, but was also invited to participate in judging the categories to crown the country’s best agents. The 2023 entry list was, once again, the biggest in the history of the Negotiator Awards – which continues to grow in stature and importance with each year.

The finalists, from every corner of the UK, were announced at a sparkling gala dinner hosted by TV celebrities, Ronni Ancona and Hal Cruttenden at the five-star Grosvenor House on Park Lane. Winners from The Guild network included Community Champion of the Year (Bronze) Thomas Morris, Residential Auction Service (Bronze) Wilsons Auctions, Regional – East of England (Gold) Thomas Morris, Regional – Wales (Gold) Williams & Goodwin The Property People Ltd, Regional: Northern Ireland (Gold) CPS, (Silver) Wilsons Auctions and (Bronze) John Minnis Estate Agents.
