Grounded Style Makes Its Mark For Autumn

Property tips :   28 - 08 - 19

With Summer drawing to a close and Autumn just around the corner there is a new interiors trend on the horizon and here we feature a guest blog from Clare Laughland Interiors, Farnham, to find out more….

Dubbed ‘Grounded’ style, the trend focuses on an earthy colour palette, with an emphasis on natural materials.

Layering and fringing and a love of tiny imperfections making the fabric, furniture and products completely unique. Handmade qualities are essential, with a return to the artisan crafts of yesteryear with renewed interests in pottery, crochet and weaving.

Often the earthy colour palette is paired with tonal oranges and offset with bursts of brighter colours, such as ochre or cobalt. You will find many high street brands incorporating it into their collections this Autumn and lots of design houses producing tailor made collections of fabric, wallpaper and paint.

The Little Greene paint company has lots of fabulous shades that fit this trend with Yellow Pink, Orange Aurora, Marigold and Heat to name but a few in their wonderful collection.

Pop into the showroom and pick up a sample pot. Linwood Fabrics brings out a new collection focusing on this exciting palette available in the showroom in late September.
