According to Rightmove Farnham has been crowned one of the happiest places to live in Great Britain. In first place was Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, followed by Farnham, and Monmouth in Wales coming third.

Findings are from Rightmove’s annual Happy at Home Index which is based on a survey of more than 21,000 people. All those that took part answered questions about how happy they are where they live.

The property website ranks 219 areas in Great Britain based on 12 happiness factors. They range from how safe residents feel and how friendly the neighbours are, to how good the local services are and the quality of green spaces and cultural activities in the area.

Director of Andrew Lodge Estate Agents, Andrew Lodge said: “Farnham is stunning old English rural market town with great historic character. In the area there are so many lovely attractions including the Farnham Maltings, Farnham Castle and Farnham Park.

“It is no surprise that people love to live and work here! We help many families find there forever homes in the area. We also look after those who wish to upsize, downsize or purchase an investment property. We have such a wide portfolio of desirable property for sale in Farnham.”
