Farnham Institute Charity Provides Support In Lockdown

Community news :   29 - 11 - 20

Covid-19 has had a huge impact on many local businesses, families and individuals. In Farnham there are many people working together to help provide support.

Our Managing Director Andrew Lodge has continued his role as Chair of the Farnham Institute Charity throughout both Covid-19 lockdowns.

Meetings with fellow Trustees have been held via Zoom, with many worthy grant applications received. The Farnham Institute Charity makes grants for any charitable purpose which is for the general benefit of the inhabitants of Farnham.

In recent months Trustees have provided support to many local groups and organisations including the Farnham Coronavirus Support Fund, Space to Grow and Farnham Assist.

Trustees also provided funds to help cover the cost of PPE which was required for workers running the Hoppa Bus service.

The PPE has enabled them to continue working safely throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Many people rely on this bus service, so its efficiency is essential.
