Company news : 16 - 05 - 23
Farnham was recently named one of the best places to live in Surrey by the popular lifestyle website Muddy Stilettos. Readers across 28 counties were encouraged to vote for the best places to live outside of London, and more than 25,000 people participated in the survey.
Our team agree that it’s the perfect area to buy or rent a home. The town has so much to offer! The pretty high street features a variety of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. There are also many leisure opportunities – from tennis and golf clubs, to crazy golf and swimming.
Our market town is certainly a sought-after destination, famous for its picturesque Georgian and Tudor architecture as well as green spaces such as Farnham Park. There are wonderful walks to be had in nearby Tilford Woods and at Alice Holt Forest.
The town is steeped in history and Farnham Castle is a must see, along with Waverley Abbey – the first Cistercian abbey in England. Many blockbuster films feature scenes filmed around the Abbey ruins such as Transformers: The Last Knight, The Mummy and Howard’s End.
Popular with commuters, Farnham benefits from a railway station which is just a ten minute walk from the town centre. There are frequent services to London Waterloo and also Alton in Hampshire.
Fantastic schools are a real draw for families and there are plenty of primary, secondary and sixth form options. Independent schools include Barfield Prep School, Frensham Heights and Edgeborough. There are also outstanding community schools such as All Hallows Catholic School, Highfield South Farnham School, and South Farnham School.
With so much to offer, properties in the town and surrounding villages continue to be in demand and we are currently marketing some stunning homes. If you are considering buying, selling, letting or renting a home in Farnham we would be delighted to assist you. Please contact our property experts here.
